VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

ADVISOR IN CADD ON PRIME MINISTER’S EDUCATION REFORMS

Applications are invited for the post of Advisor on Education in Capital Administration & Development Division (CADD) under Prime Minister’s Education Reforms on tenure basis for an initial period of one year extendable for another term. a.    Qualifications Experience:

i.    Academic Qualification: Master’s Degree

ii.    Experience: 18-20 years, 05 years in Senior Management position in Education Sector related to schools.

b.    Ineligibility:

i.    Mo person shall be eligible for appointment unless he is a citizen of Pakistan.

ii.    Persons dismissed or removed from service as a consequence of disciplinary proceedings.

iii.    Persons convicted by the court of competent jurisdiction and NRO beneficiaries are also ineligible.

c.    Pay Package:

MP-I or above, negotiable with higher qualification and experience.

d.    Age:

The applicant should not be less than 45 years and not to be more than 55 years on the date of closing of advertisement.

e.    Responsibilities:

i.    Work closely/ guide on organizational to evaluate current system / delivery mechanisms of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and suggest areas of strengthening FDE for the implementation of Article 25-A of Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

ii.    Assist and advise FDE in revamping the Professional Training Department, revisit the training procedures and the training modules and suggest a comprehensive Professional Development (PD) Model which should encourage teachers / school management to opt for training. This would include revamping KPs for all school related staff and link promotions with Professional Development.

iii.    Assist FDE in establishing mechanism for developing yearly student enrollment targets along with monitoring dropouts; establish accountability for the school management and concerned FDE staff.

iv.    Advise FDE in developing and implementing mechanism for Schools Development Plans that could be applied to for all ICT schools.

v.    Advise to strengthen Curriculum Department for bringing it in sync with modern teaching practice which encourages critical thinking amongst students keeping in view the national standards.

vi.    Advise in strengthen up FDE in identifying missing facilities at the schools and help them with the development of yearly school development plans on ensuring provision of these facilities.

vii.    Suggest ways to strengthen School Management Committees (SMC) to make them more effective.

viii.    Work closely and advise PEIRA in developing rules of business forthe private schools.

ix.    Liaise with Advisory Council, Education Academic Authority, Implementation Committee and Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, Private Schools, Donor Agencies for advice and assistance.

x.    Monitor quality and timely delivery of renovation / works component of all ICT schools.
