National Endowment Scholarship for Talent (NEST) is a Government-owned company with a fully functional Board of Directors registered under Section-42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984, and working under the auspices of Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform. Main objective of the Company is to run a successful system for disbursement of scholarships to needy-cum-talented students countrywide at various education levels starting from Intermediate to Ph.D and with disciplines including arts, sciences, engineering, medical, and other development sciences.
NEST offers challenging opportunities to well qualified and suitable professionals to work as CEO of the Company on contract basis. The CEO will be responsible for overall management of the NEST and for conduct of its administrative, financial and other functions/procedures, in line with the guidance and directions of the Board of Directors of the NEST. Responsibilities of the CEO include implementation of strategies and policies as approved by the Board, fund raising for the company and making appropriate arrangements to ensure that funds and resources are properly safeguarded and used economically, efficiently and effectively and in accordance with all statutory obligations. The person should be highly energetic and motivated having excellent leadership qualities and exquisite interpersonal communication, coordination and IT skills to qualify for this position.
The Candidates should possess Masters degree or equivalent (Min. 16 years of Study) from an HEC recognized university. Qualification from any highly reputed foreign university would be a preference. The candidates should have a minimum of 25 years of work experience in public sector including 15 years at senior management level and 5 years in leadership role. Experience in education funding management / fund raising is mandatory. The person should be well versed with Government’s accounting procedure, administration and management. The CEO will report to the Board of Directors of the NEST.

The contract will be initially for a period of two years extendable on yearly basis.
