Mercy Corps is seeking applications from potential candidates for the following position:

Technical Advisor-01 Position (Islamabad based)

Qualifications & Experience:

MBBS with a master’s degree in Public Health. At least five years’ experience of working in TB control, preferably two years in technical/advisory role. Thorough understanding of the Global Fund and the National TB Control Program of Pakistan. Experience in developing technical guidelines and in building capacity of staff in technical areas. Significant experience in M&E and data management of public health projects. Previous experience with a Global Fund grant in a senior technical role will be a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Excellent knowledge of computer especially MS Office. Responsibilities/Duties:

The person is responsible for supporting and guiding all technical aspects of the program. S/he will be responsible for designing and developing technical guidelines, protocols and training materials for the NFM grant, in close consultation with the Senior Program Manager, Project Coordinator. Project Officer and the National TB Control Program (NTP). S/he will also be responsible for quality assurance of program activities, for which s/he will design tools, conduct capacity building and undertake field visits. S/he will review monthly and quarterly reports of the sub-recipients (SRs), and will develop the quarterly PUDR (programmatic report). S/he will also review monitoring reports of the M&E officers and will provide technical guidance on resolving issues faced in implementation. S/he will supervise the data management and reporting of the project, will develop presentations, briefs and other technical documents.
