The Micronutrient Initiative wants to fill the above position for its Pakistan Office based in Islamabad.
Overall Purpose/Broad Function:
The broad function of this position is to support the CD with program operations in the country, primarily responsible for the donor and internal reporting, program planning in line with county strategy, and over viewing monitoring data for future planning process for the Ml Pakistan Programs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analysis of program reports to determine completeness, flagging of issues and providing input as needed to the CD to feed into donor/ stakeholders reports
o Undertake the first level review and fill in data and information gaps and ensure that good quality drafts are provided to the CD for review,
o Coordinate internal meetings as required, related to reporting, and record minutes
• Responsible for the development of project concept notes, annual program planning process and 3 to 5 year country strategy planning process
o Undertake drafting of project concept notes in consultation with the CD.
o Plan meetings for annual program planning process
o Updating country strategy document as and when changes are instituted
• Support with review of program monitoring data to feed into monthly and quarterly progress reports
o Coordinate to receive monthly monitoring reports in a timely manner,
o Consolidate all monitoring reports for donor / stakeholder reporting
o Arrange quarterly review meetings of Ml Pakistan Program, ensuring participation of external stakeholders and partners o Support in the finalisation of the country quarterly review reports.
• Any other task requested by the CD.
Qualifications & Experience:
The incumbent must have a master degree in nutrition, child development, health management, public health, international development and/or a related field; A good understanding of human nutrition, the role of micronutrients is desirable; At least 3 to 5 years of work experience with NGOs, and/or UN agencies in working with health and nutrition related programs; Demonstrated ability in report writing/documentation. Communication skills; Strong communications skills (oral and written); Fluency in English both reading and writing is a prerequisite. S/he should have good computing skills, and should be methodical and adaptable. Familiarity with standard computer applications is essential.
