SELECTION OF COMMUNITY WELFARE ATTACHES FOR POSTING IN PAKISTAN MISSIONS ABROAD  

Applications are invited on prescribed application forms from officers working in BS-17, BS-18 & BS-19 having 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in management /field work, or labour / manpower administration and laws, or matters pertaining to emigration and welfare of Pakistanis living/working abroad.

Eligibility Criteria

a.    Officers belonging to all Occupational Groups of the Federal Government. Officers working in all Federal Ministries / Divisions including Attached Departments of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development and Officers from Provincial Civil Services belonging to Provincial Governments, including AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA.

Education:

b.    Sixteen years of education / Masters’ degree

Age Limit:

c.    For officers in BS-17, upper age limit is 35 years; in BS-18, upper age limit is 40 years; and for officers in BS-19, the upper age limit is 48 years by 31-03-2016.

General conditions for ineligibility:

I.     Officers against whom there is a disciplinary proceedings.

ii.     Officers who do not apply through proper channel.

iii.    Officers who are in promotion zone within next two years.

iv.    Officers who have already availed posting abroad (at least for a duration of two years or more).

v.     Officers who do not have complete PERs record at the time of interview till 2015 with minimum average of ‘GOOD’.

Note:

(i)    The written test will be conducted by the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in its campus at Lahore. Interviews of the successful candidates will be conducted by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, Islamabad.

(ii)    The minimum qualifying score in the written test will be set at 60 percent.

(iii)    Applications should be submitted on the prescribed proforma available at LUMS’s website URL: www.lums.edu.pk/moop. All applications should be mailed to Dr. Abid A. Burki, Professor of Economics, Department of Economics, LUMS, 248 Academic Block, Econ Wing, Sector U, DH A, Lahore Cantonment 54792, Lahore. Hand written applications will not be entertained.

(iv)    Last date for receipt of applications is 09th February, 2016. Incomplete and late applications will not be entertained.

(v)    Officers are required to submit their applications through their Divisions / Departments. Advance copy of the application forms, complete in all respects, should be submitted by due date.

(vi)    Selected candidates will be required to submit an undertaking that on completion of their tenure, they will not seek extension in their tenure or ex-Pakistan leave on full/half/without pay.
