Quaid-e-Awam University 8th Academic Convocation 2016 degree Awarded
of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah
It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the 8th Convocation – 2016 of Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah shall be held in the first week of March 2016 at 11:00am at the University Campus to award degrees to the candidates who have passed the following Examinations of the University.
a) Doctor of Philosophy
b) Master of Philosophy
c) Master of Engineering
d) Master of Science
e) Bachelor of Engineering
f) Bachelor of Science
g) Bachelor of Technology
h) Bachelor of Science
Exact date will be notified on confirmation to be received from the Honourable Chancellor of the University/Governor of Sindh who will preside over the Convocation.
The Gold/Silver Medals and Merit Certificates shall also be conferred upon the Faculty Tops, the Best Graduates and the Position Holders from among the batch mentioned above.
Intending recipients of degrees are advised to apply for admittance to the Convocation on the prescribed application form available in the office of the Controller of Examinations and on the University website (www.quest.edu.pk).
Applications for admission to the University Convocation 2016 on the prescribed Form supported with required documents duly filled/ completed in all respects along with Demand Draft/Pay Order in favour of the Controller of Examinations shall be deposited in the office of the Controller of Examinations, QUEST, Nawabshah as per the following schedule.
Last date with regular fee of Rs. 5000/- 15th February 2016
Last date with late fee of Rs. 500/- i.e. Rs. 5500/- 18th February 2016
However, candidates who have already received their degrees “In absentia” and now intend to receive their Gold/Silver Medals/Merit Certificates/Folders only, they are also required to apply on the same prescribed application form along-with Demand Draft/Pay Order of Rs. 1200/-only in favour of the Controller of Examinations to be deposited in the office of the Controller of Examinations.
Recipients of the degrees or Gold/Silver Medals/Merit Certificates/Folders shall be required to wear the Academic Robes prescribed by the University. Recipients without Academic Robes shall not be admitted in the Convocation.
Academic Robes i.e. Gowns and Hoods can be had from M/s. Rizvi Tailors, Camp Office on the day of rehearsal or Convocation on payment of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1500/- refundable on safe return of gown and hood on the same day of the convocation at the camp office at the University Campus).
Recipients of degree and awards at the Convocation shall be allowed to invite their close relative(s) (Father/Mother/Brother/Sister/ Spouse) at the ceremony. The recipients desirous of doing so, may intimate particulars of invitee at the time of submission of form for Convocation and in case of any change of address, it must be communicated at least one week before the date of convocation. Only Two invitees will be allowed.
Candidates who want to bring with him/her close relative(s) at the ceremony shall have to deposit Rs. 1000/- per person as charges towards the Convocation Lunch in respect of the guest which will be deposited along with Convocation Degree fees.
Recipients of Degrees, Gold/Silver/Medals/Merit Certificates and Folders are compulsorily required to attend the rehearsal of the Convocation to be held on one day before the Day of Convocation between 11:00am to 1:00pm at Multipurpose Hall at the University Campus. Admit Cards/Invitation Cards will be issued to the recipients only after attendance at the rehearsal.
