A donor Funded Project invites applications from qualified candidates for the following posts, on contract basis

Functional Responsibilities

Under the guidance and direct supervision of Senior Supply Chain Management Officer the Supply Chain Management Officer will undertake the following activities;

Perform all activities related to supply chain management for both Basic DOTs and MDR TB pharmaceuticals and health products;

Implement the Manuals for Drug management. Quality Assurance/Control, supply chain management, and manual/electronic Logistic

Management Systems (LMIS) at the PR level;

Update relevant tools for recording and reporting supply chain and logistics information, both manual and electronic;

Participate in the collection and analyze all of logistics and supply chain management reports (Inventory Reports and Consumption Matrices) from

the health centers, district, province; summaries and prepare routine management briefs for both Basic DOTs and MDRTB programs;

Participate in the quarterly reviews and analysis of the supply chain for both Basic DOTs and MDRTB program, putting into consideration the patient

enrollment, consumption data, stock on hand, orders in transit, and orders placed for pharmaceuticals and health products;

Participate in the periodic forecasting and quantification for pharmaceuticals and health products, putting into consideration the supply chain reports;

Process all the necessary documents required for effective and efficient placement and execution of health product orders placed with the International Procurement Agents (VPP), and ensure implementation of any order adjustments, clearing, forwarding, and processing of No-Objection Condition (NOC) documents and approvals from relevant government departments;

Participate in the management of contracts of pharmaceuticals and health products procured both locally and internationally under Basic DOTs and MDRTB program, including laboratory chemicals, reagents, equipment, and kits;

Participate in some procurement activities such as in developing technical specifications, developing bidding document and contracts, and serve as a member of Evaluation Team;

Participate in the review and processing of orders for pharmaceuticals and health products from the health centers, districts, and province; Participate in the periodic supply chain Monitoring & Evaluation field visits;

Ensure effective implementation of manuals for pharmacovigilance, Adverse Drug Reactions, Doctor-Patient Drug Information, Rational Drug Use, at the PR level-

Update the manual and electronic MIS (TBD MIS and WMIS) at the PR level, in close coordination with the Warehouse Management Team. Any other related role as may be delegated by management or Senior Supply Chain Management Officer from time to time;

Required experience, competencies, and skills

The candidate must have profound knowledge in supply chain management preferably;

At least 3 years working experience in the health sector, mainly managing pharmaceutical and health products; Knowledge in forecasting and qualification for pharmaceuticals and health products; Skills in procurements best practices, clearing and forwarding, warehousing, and distribution; Experience working on TB programs/projects from reputable organizations; Ability to prepare reports using Ms. Office Packages and PowerPoint-Knowledge in pharmacovigilance, quality assurance for health products, Rational Drug Use; Flexible, willing to work under pressure and tight deadlines, with good communication skills, willing to learn;

Required Minimum Qualifications

Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from recognized and reputable University,

Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree in either Pharmacy, Business Administration, M. Phil, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Economics, etc;

Candidates with Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, with extended relevant working experience of over 5 years shall be considered, in the absence of a Master’s Degree;
