APPOINTMENT OF PROJECT DIRECTOR

The Transport & Mass Transit Department, GOS invites application from eligible individuals for appointment of PROJECT DIRECTOR for Orange Line BRTS (Infrastructure Development 3.7 km from TMA Office Orangi to Board Office Chowrangi Nazimabad) Project on contract basis.

Qualification:

1st Class Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and preferably Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering / Project Management from HEC recognized university.

Experience Required:

At least 10 years post qualification experience in relevant field in government, autonomous/semi- autonomous body or reputable sector organization.

Age Limit:

The ideal candidate, fulfilling all other pre-requisites of the job, may be under the age limit of 65 years.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project Director will be the leader of the project process and effort. The position will have overall operational / execution and management responsibility in completing the project process and will also serve as its primary spokesperson.

The Project Director will consult with the concerned authorities and report directly to the Technical and Steering Committees. The Project Director will manage the activities of all members of the planning staff as they are involved in the project, including one partnership coordinator; and, accounting, communications, and administrative staff assigned to the project. The Project Director will oversee all consultants and contractors to ensure contracts and agreements are executed and implemented to the satisfaction of the Committees. Day-to-day collaboration will be required with all members of the stall to ensure the organization is able to achieve its objectives. In addition, the Project Director will work closely with stakeholders to develop consensus for smooth implementation of the project.
