This fully funded research opportunity is hosted by KEK, one of the world’s leading accelerator science research laboratories. The program aims to provide hands-on research experience to both national and international students at KEK Tsukuba or J-PARC.

Program Overview

Research Fields
Participants can choose projects based on their academic background in fields such as:
- Elementary Particle Physics
- Nuclear Physics
- Material & Life Sciences
- Accelerator Science
- Advanced Detection Systems (Sensors, Electronics, Computing)
- Theoretical Computational Methods in Quantum Field Theory
Students at the Tokai campus will explore particle and nuclear physics, material and life sciences, and universe-related research using advanced accelerator technologies. Meanwhile, students at the Tsukuba campus will focus on Belle II studies and New Physics research.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be in the latter half of their undergraduate program or the early stages of a Master’s degree.
- PhD students are not eligible.
- Open to both Japanese and international students.
